As some of you know, my sweet mother-in-law passed away suddenly at the age of 59 last week. Even as I type this it doesn’t seem real, but my heart is full as I think back on all of the love extended by friends, family, and acquaintances in her life and the absolutely beautiful words they spoke of her at her funeral.
People consistently and fondly said the same things about her
“She was so thoughtful”
“She was kind”
“She always made me feel so welcome”
“She was truly selfless”
They told stories of “little things” she did that made a big difference in their lives. And side note – the funeral home said it was the MOST FLOWERS they had ever seen for anyone! Wow.
It got me thinking….
How will I be remembered?
Think about how you want to be remembered – and that’s the easy part. The true challenge is to live every day with that vision and intention in your actions. If you want to be remembered as loving – be loving. All day, every day.
